Affinity Celebrates 5 Years
Affinity Flying Services, a joint venture established by KBR and Elbit Systems UK, has recently celebrated five years of taking to the skies. In 2016, Affinity and the MOD signed the Fixed Wing Training Package Contract in support of the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS). Under the contract, Affinity is providing training aircrafts for the UK MOD in a phased approach over a number of years.
The team had an ambitious goal of delivering all aircraft by November 2018, and the team’s dedication led to the successful delivery of 38 aircraft across three UK sites. Towards the end of 2020, a further 4 aircraft were delivered into RAF Valley with the hopes of being fully operational by the end of 2021.

Affinity’s operations have grown rapidly, starting with just 18 employees to now, a team of 150. The organization continues to provide significant local employment opportunities within Lincolnshire and North Wales and will be recruiting apprentices in the near future. The development of the core team remains a high priority with equal opportunity and career development fundamental to our values.
Affinity also recognizes the importance of the local community and have supported various charities and organizations nominated by our own employees. We have also grown partnerships with educational establishments, providing work experience, employability sessions, and training.
