Publish date

At the 20th annual Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) offshore symposium, KBR's Richard D'Souza, Senior Vice President of Granherne, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his exceptional contribution toward advancing naval architecture and marine engineering in the offshore industry.

I was pleasantly surprised when I learned I was to receive the SNAME Lifetime Achievement Award," D'Souza said. "It is an honor that I proudly accepted on behalf of Granherne and the many naval architects and ocean engineers I have hired and mentored over my 40-year career."

Granherne-KBR was not only a silver sponsor of the event, but also contributed a significant role in planning the event which was held in Houston in February 2015. Employees Sam Linder, Senior Technical Professional - Naval Architect, and Mischa Dylewski, Technical Professional - Naval Architect, helped organize the symposium. Dan Gallagher, Operations Director, took part in a panel discussion and presented a paper along with Granherne colleague, Nicole Rush. D'Souza delivered the luncheon keynote address which was well attended by engineers, academics and industry professionals."
