KBR's Charity Golf Tournament Surpasses Goal after Hurricane Harvey

Publish date

Year after year, KBR's young professional group carries out an exceptional charitable golf tournament to raise money for worthy organizations. This was KBR's 11th annual outing and it was another outstanding year for the tournament despite a number of logistical challenges in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

The tournament is hosted at Kingwood Country Club which received catastrophic flooding during the storm. This reality forced the tournament to be rescheduled two months later than originally planned and even then, there was no club house, power or running water on site on the tournament day. These circumstances did not deter KBR volunteers from the mission of giving back to organizations that deserve the extra effort. In fact, over $500,000 was raised this year for these charities:Houston Fire Department,Buffalo Bayou Partnership, Impact a Hero, St. Jude Children's Hospital,Houston Texans Foundation.

A resounding thank you to the sponsors and vendors for making this year's tournament possible.
