KBR announced that it raised more than $1 million at its 16th annual charity golf tournament, eclipsing the tournament’s previous record, set last year, by more than a quarter of a million dollars. The tournament, which was held on Monday, October 24 at Kingwood Country Club in Kingwood, Texas, was organized by KBR’s young professional employee resource group, IMPACT.

“The KBR Charity Golf Tournament has become a marquee event in the life of our company that reflects our commitment to ESG and is an opportunity to showcase our commitment to giving back to our communities,” said John Thomson, KBR vice president and chief information officer and golf tournament executive sponsor. “We are proud to support these organizations that are making a meaningful difference, and I would like to thank the members of the KBR team of teams — all our volunteers and staff — who pitched it to make this year’s tournament another historic success.”

Since 2007, the KBR Charity Golf Tournament has raised more than $8.4 million for organizations that align with KBR's vision and values. This year's charity recipients are:

  • Houston Fire Department
  • Houston Police Department
  • Buffalo Bayou Partnership
  • Blue Star Families
  • St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
  • Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
  • The Chester Pitts Charitable Foundation
  • The PTSD Foundation of America

KBR thanks our suppliers and business partners for their support of this event.
