International Women’s Day 2021 Global Panel

08 Mar 2021

Time:
2:30pm – 3:30pm (GMT)

KBR’s Employee Resource Group, ASPIRE, recognizes and celebrates International Women’s Day every year. This year we are using our ability to work virtually as an opportunity for chapters around the world to host a virtual global panel session that celebrates the achievements of women who work with and for KBR. We are all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day every day, and we can #choosetochallenge and call out gender bias and inequity. We can choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements and collectively we can create an inclusive world.

Hosting the panel is Reem Seraj, KBR’s Saudi Vision 2030 Realization Manager, who plays an active role in the Saudi community. Reem also established the KBR special needs program, where we employed three Saudi females who are deaf and mute along with a translator to work with and help support them to grow their skills.

Panelists include:

Hania Mohiuddin, MSc BEng MRAeS MINCOSE, an Aerospace Systems Engineer at Leonardo. At Leonardo, she is currently working within Team Tempest, on the development of futuristic radar and sensors technology for the next generation combat aircraft.

Dr. Kate Gill, one of the UK Women in Defence 2020 Finalists for the Most Collaborative award that KBR is proud to be sponsoring for the 5th year. Dr .Gill is based in the US and is the lead engineer for all UK software engagement on the F-35 program.

Dr Gayathiri Gowri Shankar, a Principal Environment and Sustainability Specialist for Aspire Defence, helping to deliver the Project Allenby/Connaught and Army Rebasing program. Gayathiri is an active member in the community and has organized various fund-raising events for schools and cultural organizations.

Rasshmi AS, an HR Generalist for KBR and member of the ASPIRE Chennai Chapter. Rasshmi’s principal interests are in breaking the barriers and stigma associated around mental health and initiating communication of sex education in children.

Sarah Kirby, one of KBR’s Technical Writers and member of the Oklahoma ASPIRE Chapter. Sarah has a passion for the community and is one of the founding members of the first ASPIRE chapters in the Engineering Business Unit where serves on its Board of Directors as Chair of Communications and Membership.
