KBR proudly joined nuclear industry stakeholders from across the UK as sponsors and attendees of the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) and Nuclear Institute (NI) annual conference last month.

Attendees had the opportunity to network and learn about key industry developments over the past year, as well as looking ahead to 2022 and beyond. KBR’s Ben Sawford, global vice president for Advisory Consulting, spoke on a panel discussing ‘Nuclear for a Green Hydrogen Future’. Tom Purnell of Frazer-Nash, a KBR company, closed the conference discussing ‘Advanced Nuclear Technology: Where Are We?’.

“It was great to see the KBR team so prominent at the event,” said Ian Hudson, Government Solutions EMEA nuclear director. “All the discussion throughout the day suggests we have created a lot of interest in the market. The collaboration across the team in planning and delivering the event offers great insight into what can be achieved together in the future.”

KBR, alongside Frazer-Nash, is at the forefront of nuclear delivery, enabling us to apply our cross-industry experience, processes, and systems to create improved delivery for our clients. With over 30 years of experience in the nuclear sector, Frazer-Nash delivers best practice to clients through their advanced technical capability and diverse industry experience, helping develop and deploy technology to generate low carbon electricity, heat, and hydrogen.

With an invested interest in the sector, KBR was honored to sign the Women in Nuclear UK Industry Charter on International Women’s Day last year to reaffirm the organization’s commitment to gender equality and building on the Women in Defence Charter signed in 2019.

Nuclear is a key part of the Government Solutions EMEA business and continues to be part of its vision for the future – playing a key role in supporting governments achieve net zero carbon targets.
