KBR takes great pride in supporting community initiatives and organizations worldwide. Education, health and the environment are KBR's primary themes of philanthropic focus and we believe it is our duty to promote those ideals through employee volunteerism, employee giving and corporate support.

KBR's Government Services business, KBRwyle, was once again proud to serve as a co-lead sponsor for the 34th Army Ten-Miler (ATM) race in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, October 7. Nearly 35,000 runners made up of military, civilians, wheel chair athletes and wounded warriors from all corners of the globe participated in the third largest ten mile road race in the world. KBR has been a major sponsor of the race for the past 13 consecutive years. At the race, KBR's sponsorship provided a shuttle service, hospitality tents, water, pre-packaged meal boxes and a reunion area where family and friends could link up with runners. All race proceeds benefit the U.S. Army's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program. The MWR program offers soldiers and their families across the globe a variety of family, morale, welfare and recreation programs and services to enrich soldiers' and their families' lives culturally and creatively.

Each year a large number of KBR employees participate in the ATM and this year it included members of KBR's executive team, KBRwyle leadership and employees from all four KBRwyle business units. In addition, several KBRwyle employees participated with special recognition: KBRwyle employee Deni Stankovic ran at the personal invitation of U.S. military leadership. Max Lobeto, also part of KBRwyle, ran with the elite wave of runners. Deni and Max joined fellow KBRwyle athletes and over twenty employee volunteers who represented KBR at the event.

Byron Bright, President, KBR Government Services U.S., who led the countdown for multiple waves of runners, said, "I am incredibly proud of our company's efforts to support the U.S. Army and military families and for serving as a co-sponsor of such a great initiative." Bright continued, "A special thanks to KBR employees for their tremendous support for our troops and other charitable causes around the world.

In Houston, KBR, in conjunction with the Buffalo Bayou Partnership (BPP), hosted KBR Kids Day on Saturday, October 13. Thousands of children and their families flocked to Guadalupe Plaza Park for free family fun and hands-on nature activities including face painting, rocking climbing, boat tours and a Halloween Costume Parade. More than 20 Houston-area partners, local entertainment and performers were also in attendance. KBR Kids Day provides free family fun and entertainment for children and their families while supporting local conservation initiatives. As part of KBR's ongoing commitment to supporting environmental and educational initiatives, this was the twelfth year KBR has partnered with BBP which is dedicated to improving local recreation opportunities, flood management and ecosystem restoration for Houston's historic waterway."

KBR is proud to once again have presented this year's KBR Kids Day to the local community," said Stuart Bradie, KBR President and CEO. "The event was a huge success and a great opportunity for KBR to showcase its support for local conservation and restoration initiatives and teaching our youth about the value of conserving natural resources in exciting and hands-on ways. Thank you to Buffalo Bayou Partnership for being outstanding partners in support of these causes."
