KBR Australia Supports Military Families in Need
At KBR, we work hard to be a positive force in our communities – both in terms of the people we interact with and the places that we live and work. Recently, KBR had the opportunity to give back to Keeping Watch, an organization that supports the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) – which KBR proudly serves alongside.
Keeping Watch is a perpetual charitable fund that aids members of the RAN and their families who are in financial need.
“The services provided by your Keeping Watch are valuable and necessary in our present-day circumstances and we are pleased to be able to support Royal Australian Navy personnel and their families” said Rob Hawketts, VP Government Solutions APAC, KBR Australia.
“Every day the Royal Australian Navy provides maritime forces that contribute to the Australian Defence Force’s capacity to defend Australia, contribute to regional security, support global interests, shape the strategic environment and protect national interests. The work of Keeping Watch is vital to support serving members of the Royal Australian Navy and their families who are suffering hardship.
“KBR has been a proud and trusted partner to the Royal Australian Navy for 30 years and in that time we have become part of the community.
“For nearly three decades we have worked closely with Navy to deliver Technical Training Support Services at HMAS Cerberus, and since 2014 we have partnered as Capability Support Coordinator services for the nation’s two Canberra Class Landing Helicopter Dock Ships, and the Bay Class Landing Ship Dock HMAS Choules,” he said.
Philanthropy and volunteering are at the core of KBR's company culture, and KBR takes great pride in supporting community initiatives and organizations around the world. Since 2007, the company has contributed more than USD20 million to non-profits globally.
