KBR recently demonstrated its position as a leading player in the global oil and gas industry with an active, highly-visible presence at the Gastech Conference held in Singapore. Gastech is the world’s largest oil and gas conference, attracting more than 22,000 industry professionals.

KBR was proud to play a role in facilitating this important event by serving as a conference sponsor and by participating in the technical committees that develop the technical program for the conference. In addition, KBR experts contributed thought leadership by participating in panels and making presentations on key industry topics that have significance in the current market. James Cowling, who leads KBR's Noise & Vibration Team, presented “Can You Hear Me Now? The Necessity of LNG Noise Control” and Heinz Kotzot, KBR Technology Manager for Gas Monetization presented “The True Cost of a Low-Price LNG Project.”  Javier Vazquez-Esparragoza and Chris Caswell of KBR’s Technology group wrote an article entitled “Modeling Logistics Operations Before Committing Significant Capital” for the official conference newspaper.

During the event, KBR reaffirmed our reputation as a reliable resource in the global energy business by demonstrating our unmatched capability and experience in delivering complex gas processing projects including onshore, offshore and in LNG and other gas monetization projects.

KBR’s centrally located exhibit booth was a popular destination, constantly bustling with activity and filled with industry-related visitors and meetings each day from conference opening to conference closing. The official conference newspaper took note with a caption reading, “Location, location, location – foot traffic remained heavy around KBR’s stand.” We were especially honored to receive a visit from the U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, Kirk Wagar.

Customers, strategic partners, and prospective employees were among those who visited the KBR booth which showcased our experience with major, complex projects like the Glen Lyon FPSO, the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, and the recently awarded EPC contract with Magnolia LNG. KBR representatives in the booth met with visitors, educating them about KBR’s commitment to promoting best practices in the industry, HSE, construction, engineering design, and all technical aspects of a successful project delivery.

“The KBR team worked seamlessly together to demonstrate KBR’s professional approach to everything we do,” said Graham Hill, KBR Executive Vice President of Global Business Development & Strategy. “Everyone got the message that KBR is unmatched when it comes to executing complex industry projects and that we deliver on our promises.”
