KBR Technology Receives Corys ‘Best Partner Award’

KBR and CORYS, Inc. began working together under a business collaboration agreement in 2010. Since that time, the two companies have achieved numerous milestones in the joint delivery of automation and process technology systems such as the recent delivery of the 25th operator training simulator (OTS) using CORYS software. CORYS recognized the outstanding partnership with KBR by presenting the 'Best Partner Award' at their recent North America annual conference.

KBR uses CORYS' INDISS®/ Indiss Plus® solution to develop dynamic models of its process technologies. The simulation software and technical support has an industry-proven track-record in operator training simulator (OTS) implementations and is the most complete single-source supply of technical products, and offers a powerful set of instructor software scenario and performance measuring tools. The simulation models are used to provide cutting edge high-fidelity operator training simulators to KBR's worldwide clients and technology licensees in fertilizer, olefins, chemicals, refining and other process industries and for dynamic engineering studies.

The high-fidelity turnkey OTS systems are provided by KBR to its clients and process licensees as part of the overall technology proposal for the projects. While the primary use of the simulators is for life cycle operator training, due to the built-in KBR know-how and high fidelity of the OTS models, these systems are routinely used to improve plant operations; fine tune control logic and test alternative operating procedures.

John Derbyshire, KBR Technology President said, "We recognize CORYS's strong commitment to the process industries served by KBR. This mutually collaborative relationship and technical support has allowed us to efficiently develop and deliver state-of-the-art simulators which benefit our global clients and technology licensees, help in faster plant commissioning, safer and more efficient process operations, and most importantly provides our clients with a highly robust and flexible lifecycle training platform. This relationship has allowed us to enhance our technology portfolio and provided additional avenues for long-term customer engagement, a key goal for our company."

"Our Business Collaboration Agreement with KBR is one of CORYS' most successful relationships in the OTS and dynamic simulation industry," said Charles Rosmorduc, CEO of CORYS Inc. "Our INDISS™ and IndissPlus® platforms have the flexibility to meet KBR's and their clients' operator training requirements as well as the ability to use our high-fidelity simulation and modeling tools for engineering and controls applications."

KBR and CORYS collaborative partnership has led to many successful milestones for the two companies.
