As part of its commitment to being a good corporate citizen and community member, KBR is committed to a strong set of environmental principles. It is our policy to minimize the environmental impact that may be associated with any of our activities; we work constantly with our global partners, clients, contractors and suppliers to improve efficiency, conserve natural resources and reduce waste and emissions.

Creating a sustainable and environmentally secure future calls for an active approach to preserving and improving the world around us. While we work for the creation of new technologies that will reduce the impact on the environment and reliance on non-renewable natural resources, our projects are designed to meet current environmental standards; several of these projects have been recognized as among the best of their kind around the world. These include our project in Vietnam's Quang Nai Province, which has been recognized for outstanding environmental engineering, and our Aspire joint venture project in the United Kingdom, which has won multiple environmental and sustainability awards since 2007.

We also strive to provide opportunities for those directly affected by existing projects to improve their way of life. Our employees are ahead of the curve with their involvement and drive our continued efforts to be the best possible stewards of the environment.
