KBR, Inc. Closes Initial Public Offering

KBR, the engineering, construction and services subsidiary of Halliburton (NYSE:HAL), today announced that it has closed its initial public offering of 32,016,000 shares of common stock at a price of $17.00 per share. The number of shares of common stock issued at closing included 4,176,000 shares subject to the underwriters' over-allotment option. KBR received approximately $508 million of proceeds from the offering, net of underwriting fees and estimated expenses.

KBR, the engineering, construction and services subsidiary of Halliburton, today announced that the underwriters of its initial public offering have exercised in full their over-allotment option to purchase an additional 4,176,000 shares of common stock in connection with KBR's previously announced initial public offering. The exercise of this option will bring the total number of shares of common stock to be sold in the offering to 32,016,000, at a price of $17.00 per share. The shares have been approved to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "KBR."

KBR announced today that it has signed a contract to provide project management and cost-reimbursable engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services to Qatar Shell GTL Limited, a Royal Dutch Shell plc subsidiary, for the Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) project in Ras Laffan, Qatar. KBR, the engineering, construction and services subsidiary of Halliburton will undertake the work in a joint venture with JGC of Japan, incorporating the services of MWKL, a KBR/JGC subsidiary.

Sabic Awards KBR Ethylene Plant in Saudi Arabia

KBR, the engineering, construction and services subsidiary of Halliburton, announced today that it has been awarded a lump sum services contract by Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company (a Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) affiliate) for engineering, procurement and construction management of a 1.35 million ton per year ethylene plant to be built in Jubail City, Saudi Arabia.

KBR, the engineering, construction and services subsidiary of Halliburton, announced today that it has been selected to build and operate Egypt Basic Industries Corporation's (EBIC) new ammonia plant using the company's proprietary ammonia technology, KAAPT (KBR Advanced Ammonia Process). KBR will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operation and maintenance (O&M) services to the 2,000 metric ton per day (mtpd) export-focused greenfield ammonia plant, to be located in Ain Sokhna, Egypt.
