Roy Oelking is Group President, Hydrocarbons. He joined KBR in November 2008 and in his current role, Mr. Oelking is responsible for KBR's gas monetization, oil & gas, downstream, and technologies businesses.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Oelking served as President of KBR's Oil and Gas division. This included oversight for KBR’s onshore and offshore Oil and Gas projects worldwide and for KBR subsidiary companies Granherne and GVA Consultants.
His 37 years of experience have focused on project management, engineering and construction of Oil and Gas projects in the Americas, Middle East, Asia Pacific, Africa and Russia. In addition to Houston, he lived in Singapore for 4 years.
Prior to joining KBR in 2008, Mr. Oelking held the position of Sr. Vice President - Upstream with Worley Parsons. Mr. Oelking also worked for J. Ray McDermott for 29 years, leaving in 2003 as Vice President of Worldwide Engineering and Project Management.
Mr. Oelking holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Tulane University.
