New Generation

Global economic expansion requires a new generation of clean, efficient power plants and KBR has the ability to deliver them wherever they are needed. With our experienced workforce, reputation for dependability and cost-efficient solutions, clients around the globe are enlisting KBR in the construction of new power projects.

We can respond to our customers needs by building plants using a variety of energy sources, including fossil fuel-powered facilities running on natural gas, pulverized coal or Syngas. Today, as renewable energy sources become more prevalent, we are building facilities operating on energy generated by solar and wind power, alternative fuels and waste-to-energy sources. Our cogeneration plants are delivering both electricity and heat at the highest levels of efficiency for clients worldwide.

One of our most recent accomplishments includes the installation and project management of natural gas combustion turbines (CTs) in eastern Kentucky which operate during peak times to provide power to residents in the area. We have also provided procurement and full construction of a combined cycle cogeneration facility in Decatur, Alabama that was completed on schedule and within budget with client commendations for quality and safety.
